We're looking forward to a busy meeting this Saturday. This is the day many people will hand in their applications for our upcoming show. If you still need a form they will be available at the meeting. Don't forget to include your payment of $10 per entry. You are allowed 3 entries. You can enter all 3 in one of the seven categories or spread them around different categories. I will attach an application form and rules to this email if you would like to review it before the meeting. If you can't attend the meeting, please mail your application to me at:
Marvyn Rivett, 1128 N. Donnelly St., Mt. Dora, FL 32757
Don't forget, if you haven't paid your membership fee for 2018/19 you must do that before entering the show.
Message from President Verla:
The New Year is well started and we have plans for programs we hope you will find interesting, informative and exciting. This month we are preparing for the Members’ show and I encourage you to complete your entry forms and bring them with you to our meeting. Please consider in advance, how you will contribute to the work of the show, by receiving and hanging the artwork, sitting and greeting guests, or taking down the show and returning the artwork.
We're looking forward to a great demo of painted paper collage by Jackii Molsick at this meeting. She will also be teaching a workshop for us on this topic on Saturday, January 19th at LEMA. Sign up at the meeting or contact Eileen at:
STUDIO PLAY WITH YUPO
Following up on a request for a workshop using YUPO paper, we will use the February 16 workshop time to have an open studio where you can try painting with various qualities of YUPO paper. There will not be a workshop leader or instruction. We will charge $15. to cover the cost of the room and provide you with several sheets. Bring your watercolors, your inks, your markers, etc. to experiment and other things like spatulas and credit cards and devices to add, move and remove paint. If you discover you want to do more, additional supplies will be available to purchase.
