I want to remind everyone that the deadline for entering our annual show is fast approaching. I have attached a copy of the rules and application form. The deadline for entering is Feb. 13th. You can bring your completed form to the meeting on the 13th or, if you want to mail it in to Verla, it must be postmarked no later than the 13th.
Also, here are a few additional reminders:
Friday Feb. 5th will be another First Friday street party in downtown Eustis. If you would like to participate by handing out club information, selling some of your work or doing a demonstration painting, please contact me by phone at 352-357-1307 or by email marvynrivett@mac.com

FEBRUARY 5, 2016 - INTRODUCTION TO PASTELS

This hands-on workshop will introduce you to a variety of materials and techniques which can be used with soft pastels. Experiment with different brands of pastels and pastel papers. Try before you buy - the instructor will provide a variety of papers and pastels to try in the workshop but if you already have supplies bring them along.

FEBRUARY 6, 2016 - INTRODUCTION TO ACRYLIC PAINTING

This workshop is designed for people who want to learn more about acrylic painting. Topics covered will include differences between paint brands, brushes and supports. We will look at when to use mediums, gels and modeling pastes. Come and try traditional and experimental painting techniques.
