Hello Artists,
Are you considering attending one of the upcoming workshops? Although there are some similarities to a couple of previous workshops, these are different. In "Good Bones", as well as touching on the usual elements we specifically discuss two of the structural/compositional tools I use to create impact in landscapes - the "Papa, Mama, Baby Masses" and developing a journey through your landscape which is designed to lead the eye around. In "Who Are YOU?" the focus is on thinking about your own inspiration and perform exercises (AKA learning tricks) to help you develop unity in your body of work. "Who Are YOU?" is one of the few workshops that can be done in either oil or acrylic. In both of the workshops we talk a lot about avoiding the artistic tyranny of trying to follow photos exactly, and breaking into your own style. My goal in these, as always, is help you with the techniques that will facilitate to development of your own artistic voice.
At this point we don't have enough participants to make these workshops in the lovely art space at at Lake Eustis Museum of Art viable (summer is often slow but it's practically the only time I have open). If you are considering doing either or both of these PLEASE let me know asap so that we can plan.
Here is the flyer again, please let me know if you would like the sign up forms or more details. Thanks and I hope to see you soon!
